Activity 01 Being Jigyassu & Virtual Science Lab Program

Astronomy

We are happy to share that in the year 2024, Anandi Jeevan Charitable Trust started a new initiative collaboration with Funsmart Science Learning and Bapusaheb Ramchandra Khavate High School, Being Jigyassu is an interactive and engaging session aimed at igniting the curiosity and passion for science among school-going children in rural areas. The initiative included hands-on experiments, interactive demonstrations, and engaging discussions conducted by the Being Jigyassu team. The topics covered ranged from astronomy, including the study of stars, planets, and galaxies, to the exploration of satellites, spacecraft, and exciting projects undertaken by space agencies around the world. The session aimed to inspire and empower young learners by providing them with a deeper understanding of the wonders of science and space exploration.

The Virtual Science Lab is an innovative platform that provides next-generation science experiments and learning experiences to students in rural areas who have limited access to physical science laboratories. By offering virtual science experiments, the platform aims to bridge the gap in science education and provide hands-on learning opportunities to students who may not otherwise have access to such resources.

Activity 02 Being Jigyassu & Virtual Science Lab Program

Say Hello to Bacteria

Anandi Jeevan Charitable Trust dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for children in rural areas, collaborated with Funsmart Science Learning and Bapusaheb Ramchandra Khavate High School to organize an interactive science session. The main objective of the session was to foster a deep interest in science among school-going children in rural regions. The initiative aimed to provide the students with practical exposure to scientific concepts. The session, which was conducted by Funsmart Science Learning, included a range of engaging activities. The topics covered during the session encompassed an introduction to the world of bacteria, their fundamental aspects, their significance, and their roles in daily life.
The facilitator leading the session was from the Being Jigyassu team. The facilitator provided the students with comprehensive information about bacteria, aiming to stimulate their curiosity and deepen their understanding of this microscopic world. Additionally, during the session, students were given the opportunity to create their own paper microscopes using a material kit provided by the Being Jigyassu & Anandi Jeevan Charitable Trust team. This hands-on experience not only allowed the students to gain practical insight into the functioning of microscopes but also enabled them to explore the microscopic world firsthand. This interactive approach served to solidify the student’s understanding of scientific concepts and left a lasting impression on their young minds.
